Denmar Specialist Psychiatric Hospital, established in 1951, was the first private psychiatric clinic in Pretoria. After the humble beginnings of 18 beds, Denmar has grown into a 170-bed psychiatric hospital with an ECT theatre and Day clinic facilities. Each nursing station has a number of nursing staff to assist with daily functions and ward requirements regarding patient care. Our objective is to maximise recovery and patient health gain while achieving the highest level of independence for each of our patients, as cost effectively as possible.
