If you are a k-pop fan playing Aion 2 right now, you have probably seen players running around with glowing, concert-ready gear and wondered how to get your hands on it. That is the fromis_9 Light Stick weapon skin—affectionately known by the fandom and players as the "Flo-bong" or "Cheer Stick" skin. It is easily one of the most unique cosmetics in the game right now, brought to us by the limited-time fromis_9 x AION 2 crossover event.
The good news is that you do not have to rely on terrible gacha luck to get it, but you do have to put in a bit of work before the collaboration wraps up on August 12, 2026.
Here is exactly what you need to do to unlock it for your character.
How to Get the Flo-bong Skin
First, pop open your in-game event menu to make sure you can see the event tracker and keep tabs on your progress.
Once you are ready to go, head over to the dedicated event stages. Depending on your faction, you will need to map into either the Verteron or Altgard regions. Look for the event storyline quest called "The Case of the Stolen Stage Props" (some translations might list it as the Stage Prop Theft Incident). This is the main questline you need to follow.
From there, the loop is pretty straightforward: you will be exploring the designated event zones, talking to event NPCs, and beating down enemies to collect the missing stage props.
As you turn in quests and collect items, you will progress through the event's reward track milestones. The fromis_9 Light Stick weapon skin sits at the very end of this track as a major final-stage reward, so you will need to see the event content all the way through to claim it.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Before you go grinding out those stage props, there are a couple of important details you should know:
It changes based on your class. Because weapon types vary, the light stick skin dynamically transforms to match whatever weapon your class uses, turning your standard gear into a flashy cheering tool.
It is purely for style. Do not expect to hit any harder with a giant light stick. The skin is 100% cosmetic and gives zero stat boosts or combat advantages.
The name will change later this year. While you get to keep the actual skin forever, the official fromis_9 branding is temporary. After November 25, 2026, the collaboration-specific names will automatically revert to generic music-themed names.
