Pancreatic cancer doesn't come knocking on everyone's door, but when it does, it hits hard. So, what exactly is pancreatic cancer? It's a type of cancer that starts in the pancreas, which is this gland-like organ hanging out behind your stomach. It's not something you hear about every day, especially in India, but when it shows up, it's tough to catch early, which makes it even more challenging to treat. Sadly, it's often linked with a higher chance of not making it.

Now, there are two main types:

Exocrine tumors: These are mostly called ductal adenocarcinoma. They usually kick off in the ducts of the pancreas and are the most common type, making up about 80-90% of all pancreatic tumors.
Endocrine tumors: Sometimes they're also known as neuroendocrine tumors. These can pop up from different cells in the pancreas, like beta cells (which is the most common), alpha cells, or delta cells.
