1. Home Nurse

You will be attending a patient at his or her residence, assigned by your company or establishment. From inoculating them with the right medication to looking after their diet plan, you will be responsible for their whole lifestyle. Dealing with their hygiene is another aspect that will have to pay special attention to.

2. School Nurse

Some of the private nursing colleges in Dehradun have placed their students in prestigious schools across the capital city. Looking after the overall health of students and attending to minor injuries or fake stomach complaints are some of the things you will come across as a school nurse. You will also educate the students of your schools on various topics ranging from healthy habits to ‘how to deal with puberty’.

3. Public Nurse

A nurse working with some NGO or in collaboration with an Anganwadi is specifically called a public health nurse. Their main intent is to educate the community on healthy lifestyles and how preventive measures can avoid the risk of contracting any disease. So even after attaining your degree from any of the private nursing colleges in Dehradun, you can cater to public health needs.

4. Occupational Nurse

You will be operating in a workplace setting at particular times. For example, a PSU running operations in the heart of Uttarakhand has its own nurse under its medical department.
