Mommy Tantrums

Frustration, impatience, fatigue, anger, and even losing it are part of life. Kids have tantrums. Your boss will sometimes lose it. Yet, as moms, we are expected to be composed, patient, and nurturing 24/7 without taking a moment for ourselves. When mommy tantrums are occurring more often than you would like, it isn’t just impacting you. Your stress and frustration are felt by every member of your household and likely spill into work and other relationships.

Caregiver Burnout

Caregiver burnout is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion experienced by individuals who provide care for a loved one. It can be a result of the constant demands, stress, and responsibilities associated with caregiving. Caregivers often put the needs of their loved ones above their own, leading to neglect of their own well-being.

Signs of caregiver burnout may include feelings of overwhelming fatigue, irritability, lack of motivation, depression, anxiety, and a sense of isolation. Physical symptoms may include headaches, trouble sleeping, weight fluctuations, and a weakened immune system.

To prevent caregiver burnout, caregivers need to prioritize self-care and seek support from others. This may involve setting boundaries, taking frequent breaks, practicing stress-relief techniques, and seeking professional help when needed.

Caregiver burnout can have serious consequences for both the caregiver and the individual receiving care. Caregivers must recognize the signs of burnout and take proactive steps to address their own well-being.
