EA investigation examines 'FIFA 23 Ultimate Team' employee misconduct

It also noted that through its Positive Play Charter, it is “focused on improving in-game reporting and moderation tools, along with a players ability to report any offensive content FIFA 23 coins”.

EA unveiled its Positive Play Charter in June last year as an “updated set of community guidelines with clear consequences for players who engage in racist, sexist, homophobic and abusive acts in our games and channels”.

EA have said they are undertaking a “thorough investigation” into alleged misconduct within their staff as FIFA 23 Ultimate Team icons appear to have been sold to players directly.

The icons are usually available in mystery packs, or traded using the transfer market buy FUT 23 coins. In a series of Tweets, which set #EAGATE trending, Twitter user Arcade-Fut shared screenshots of an apparent transaction. In the photos, customers can be seen placing orders for non-tradable FIFA 23 UT icons with no previous owners 11 setting them back hundreds of euros.
